Opiate abuse in the United States has become an epidemic. Dr. Ali Dering-Anderson and Dr. Kevin Borcher will present the latest information on the crisis in the U.S. and how we compare with the rest of the world. They also will explain the Nebraska Prescription Drug Monitoring plan and discuss what you can do as a nurse to get this crisis under control.
About the Presenters: Dr. Ali Dering-Anderson is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Nebraska College of Pharmacy. Dr. Kevin Borcher is PDMP Program Director of the Nebraska Health Information Initiative and has worked at Nebraska Methodist Health System as pharmacy informatics coordinator for more than 19 years.
