Nebraska School Nurses Association

2018-2019 School Year Welcome

Posted over 5 years ago by Tonja Frank

Dear Nebraska School Nurses

Welcome to the 2018-2019 School Year! I know that the majority of you have been hard at work for weeks already, as we work to keep all of our students safe, healthy and ready to learn!

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank those of you who are currently members of the Nebraska School Nurse Association (NSNA)/National Association of School Nurses (NASN). Being a part of your professional organization has many benefits…reduced conference fees, access to free CEU’s through NASN, vison coupons through NASN plus monthly journals.

Being a member of NSNA gives you the opportunity to apply for $100 mini grants, payment for getting your school nurse certification, reduced rate to State Conference and more. If you would like to apply for a mini grant, please email me for the form. We give out 10 per school year.

If you are not currently a member, please consider it. Dues for NSNA/NASN are $125.00 per year. Please contact me if you would like more information.

If you are already a member, please recruit a school nurse who is not. Our organization thrives on our membership. We are actively working to get more involvement from school nurses across the state.

Stay tuned for more news this year, including data gathering we will be working on in conjunction with NASN.

I hope you all have a great year in school nursing, whether it is your first, or your 20th!  Please feel free to contact me if there is anything I can do for you. You can email me, or contact me via our facebook page.

Sincerely,

Kay Duncan, RN, CPN, MAA
