Program Background:

NASN is grateful to VSP Vision Care for Sight for Students, an Eyes of Hope gift certificate program. This program provides gift certificates for a free eye exam and, if prescribed, new glasses that NASN members and other community partners can distribute to students 19 or younger who qualify.

Since 1997, this program has provided eye exams and new glasses to more than 741,000 children in need, including 360,000 through NASN members. To date, through Eyes of Hope outreach programs, such as Sight for Students, and partnering organizations, such as NASN, VSP Global businesses have invested over $168 million in free eye care and eyewear for more than 920,000 adults and children in need.

How to Participate:

To participate in the Sight for Students gift certificate program, NASN members must complete an application and send it to VSP Sight for Students at the address on the application along with proof of NASN membership.

Please note that:

although the program application is available on this NASN Web site, the program is fully administered by VSP Vision Care; and
school nurses enrolled in VSP Sight for Students program will have their name, school and contact information included on the Find a Partner directory on the program's website to make it easy for potential recipients to find a partner in their community.
