NASN Seeking School Nurse Experts‏

Posted about 9 years ago by Tonja Frank

The National Association of School Nurses (NASN) is in need of school nurse experts for a variety of upcoming projects. Commitment could be up to 6-9 months. Activities would include using expertise to develop evidence-based practice tools on the following subjects:

Case management

Care Transition

School nurse workload/acuity

Medication administration

School Nurse evaluations

Social determinants, health disparities and school nurses

In addition, NASN is working with the National Association of State School Nurse Consultants (NASSNC) on the Uniform Data Set (Step Up and Be Counted!). As we continue this effort, we would like to expand the number of school nurses and other experts involved in the project. The length of these committees vary from 1 month-1 year.

Help identifying a framework for data points

Informatics/data management

Data quality/integrity

Marketing (of school nursing data points, quality, and participation)

If you are interested in participating in any of the above committees-please complete the following short form by April 2, 2015. https://nasn.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_54JJWPXMmqmGWcB

Feel free to also forward to fellow school nurses or other experts who you think may be interested. (Please note that not all committees are starting immediately and so you may not be contacted immediately.)
